Role + Process:

3D modeling, lighting, texturing, and rendering.
The face of the Great Green Devil was created in ZBrush while consulting various reference images of this iconic face. Lighting was handled with Octane Render. Texturing was completed through combination of Substance Painter and Octane Render. Various assets were sourced and added to the scene from the Quixel Megascan's Library. Mild color correction was handled in post production with Photoshop.

This is my reproduction of the Face of the Great Green Devil from the Tomb of Horrors, one of the most iconic features of this legendarily challenging dungeon
The Tomb of Horrors is without a doubt my favorite D&D module that I've ever played. It is a "thinking man's" dungeon as it relies entirely on player deduction to solve traps, riddles, and general navigation through a dungeon that was solely designed to kill you as quickly as possible
The Face of the Great Green Devil, within the module is described to the DM as, "The face has a huge O of a mouth; it is dead black. The whole area radiates evil and magic if detected for. The mouth opening is similar to a (fixed) sphere of annihilation, but it is about 3' in diameter - plenty of room for those who wish to leap in and be completely and forever destroyed."
